If your windows still look spotted after a normal cleaning, the problem is usually mineral deposits. Hard water stain removal in Sioux City uses professional mineral removers and non-scratch polishing to take those deposits off the glass.

What Causes Hard Water Stains?
Sioux City’s water is hard. The City of Sioux City says its water comes from deep underground formations and typically measures 350–550 mg/L of hardness, depending on which wells are in use. That means it carries a lot of dissolved calcium and magnesium. When sprinklers, a hose or an overflowing gutter wet the same windows again and again, the water evaporates and leaves minerals behind. Over time the spots bond to the glass. Lower windows near lawns and windows under clogged gutters are the most affected.

Glass We Restore
We remove hard water stains from windows, sliding doors, storefront glass, glass railings and shower doors (see glass and mirror cleaning). Stains that have been on the glass for many years can etch it. If that’s the case, we’ll tell you before we start how much improvement to expect.
Preventing New Stains
Pointing sprinkler heads away from the house, keeping gutters clear with gutter maintenance, and booking regular window cleaning all help stop new deposits from forming.
